Being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nayhan, Minister of Tolerance and Co-existence, Jashn-e-Rekhta Dubai 2024 is a two-day event celebrating Urdu language, literature and culture.
It is scheduled on 27th & 28th January 2024 at the Zabeel Park, Dubai, and showcases various art forms including poetry, ghazals, qawwali, sufi, drama, food, handicrafts and a lot more. There will be participation by over 75 popular artists and speakers.
The two-day festival is a ticketed event and is expected to attract 15000 to 20000 visitors from the GCC region and overseas including India and Pakistan.

To be a part of the festival you need not purchase a ticket. There are activities around the festival which can be accessed without a ticket. The park entry fee (AED 5) has to be paid to the Park authorities.
To access Mehifil Khana stage with 4 programs each day, you will need to purchase a ticket from various options available.

Tickets range from as low as AED 50 to AED 1000 with options to choose. The tickets include park entry fee of AED 5 per day and access to Mehfil Khana stage programs, Dayar-e-Izhaar stage, Rekhta Bazaar, Aiwan-e-Zaiqa Food Bazaar and more.
Entry for children under 8 years is free in Silver/Amphi seating area, with a nominal AED 5 park entry fee payable to park authorities. If you wish to occupy a seat in any other category, the regular prices are applicable.

Tickets are non-refundable. However if you see refund option on the ticketing platform, then please see terms of refund as it will keep changing as we move closer to the event dates.
No outside food is allowed in the festival-ticketed arena. There are ample of food options offered by local partners which you can relish.
No. The festival arena is a no alcohol, no pets and no smoking zone. However, the park has designated areas for smoking. Professional photography and videography is not allowed because of the copyright issues.
Everybody is welcome to attend Jashn-e-Rekhta; There are ramps in certain areas and designated areas for wheelchair seating. Do send us an email for more queries on this for us to assist you.
By car: Navigate via Sheikh Zayed Road towards Zabeel Park.
By metro: Opt for the Dubai Metro Red Line, and alight at Al Jafiliya Metro Station. Gate #1 is just a few hundred yards away.

Gate 3- Located on the northern side of Area A. Just off Sheikh Rashid Road and near the footbridge to Karama.
Yes, there is parking available around the entire park area on free/paid basis. The festival organizer is not providing any parking facility as this is managed by local authorities. Paid parking in designated areas is approx. AED 10 for full day. The biggest car parking areas are near Gate-1, 2 & 4.
NO. Food is not allowed in the seating area. There are designated areas for food consumption. Water is permitted.
